David Warner backs his side’s preparations over England’s for ODI series

Australia’s swashbuckling opener David Warner has said that the current Australian side could be more prepared than England for the upcoming ODI series in September.

Both Australia and England are scheduled to play against each other in three tests and as many T20Is series. The series was supposed to take place in July but due to the scare of coronavirus pandemic.

“We will obviously be quite fresh and keen to get at it when we get over there. If you look at the England team, they’ve been in lockdown and quarantine for the last (three) weeks and preparing for their next series (ODI campaigns against Pakistan and Ireland)” Warner was quoted as saying to cricket.com.au.

Warner backed his side after they return to the International cricket after the lockdown by citing that the boys would be back with fresh energy and also keen on returning to the action.
“So we’re going over there fresh with an open mind and ready and keen to play cricket, and not in that bio(security) bubble yet,” he said.
Australia last played International match back in March against New Zealand in the ODI series. The match was played behind closed doors as Australia won the first ODI by 71 runs.
England will be facing Ireland for a three-match ODI series, followed by a Test and T20I series against Pakistan in August.
