Adam Zampa and Will Jacks Shine with Superb Bowling as Oval Invincibles Defeat London Spirit

The Oval Invincibles held their nerve to defeat the London Spirit by 2 runs in a thrilling match at the Kennington Oval on Tuesday. They pulled off a scintillating win in the last-ball of the match over the Londoners.

The Invincibles scored 189-4 in their 100 balls, thanks to a brilliant 68 from Will Jacks and 46 from Heinrich Klaasen. Curran also made a crucial 35-run contribution with the bat. After Invincibles posted a massive total of 189 for 4. The Spirit followed it well and made a strong start to their chase but they were pegged back by some superb bowling from Adam Zampa and Will Jacks.

Zampa took 2-24 and Jacks took 2-22, as the Spirit fell short on 187-7. Spirit’s chase got off to a good start, with Zak Crawley and Adam Rossington putting on a 94-run clinching partnership for the first wicket.

However, the Invincibles bowlers then struck back, with Zampa taking two wickets in his 20-ball spell and Jacks taking equal 2 wickets in the space of 15 balls.The Spirit needed big runs off the last over, but Sam Curran bowled a superb over to restrict them to 3 runs behind the chase, sealing a narrow victory for the Invincibles.
