5. John Wright (2000-2005): The man deserves credit, for the transformation, he brought in Indian team fabric as he was the first foreign Coach to guide Indian team during early 2000.
John Wright partnership with Sourav Ganguly was commendable, as coach-captain duo, where India did wonders and the most iconic would be Men in Blue reaching the final of 2003 ODI World Cup in South Africa.
They won 3 Match Test & 5 Match ODI Series in Pakistan which was a remarkable feat.
Under his coaching ODI win rate is 48.9% along with 14 matches unbeaten streak from 2002- 2004 is a record in itself.
4. Ajit Wadekar(1992-1996):
Ajit Wadekar was phenomenal coach for Team India during the era 1992-1996 and his services as player too was remarkable.
Under his captaincy, India registered First ever Test series victory in overseas condition – England(1971) & West Indies(1971) respectively.
Under his coaching leadership he won Hero Cup 1993 where Mohd Azharuddin was captain.
He played a very important role in shaping skills of Great Sachin Tendulkar & Vinod Kambli in their formative years.
As coach he has 60% win rate at home test matches played between the year 1993-1996 respectively.
India won 11 out of 19 odis they played under his coaching including the Hero Cup in 1993.

3. Rahul Dravid(2021-2024):
Rahul Dravid as player was phenomenal where he scored loads of runs in Test and ODI Cricket.
Dravid post retirement contributed heavily towards building domestic talent and further went on to coach Under 19 Cricket team where India won multiple Titles under his leadership.
Dravid also served in NCA(National Cricket Academy) in Bengaluru.
Dravid joined as senior Indian team coach in the year 2021 where the biggest achievement he brought as coach would be 2023 Asia Cup held in Sri Lanka along with winning T20 World Cup in 2024 held in West Indies and USA.

2. Ravi Shastri(2017-2021):
Ravi Shastri comes 2nd in the list of Coaches for Team India who took Men in Blue to different heights.
As player he was brilliant all rounder, and he was vital member of 1983 World Cup held in Lords where Men in Blue that trophy under Kapil Dev leadership.
Shastri, under his coaching tenure completely dominated Australia in their latter conditions where India won Border-Gavaskar trophy twice in 2018-2019 & 2020-2021.
Under his coaching, winning percentage was 65.8% across all formats.
With 64.6% T20 winning rate is still one of the most successful numbers considering the biggest unpredictability in the game.
Shastri’s coaching for Team India had a brilliant 58.1% winning percentage is still the highest percentage of victories achieved by any coach in the longest format of the game.
Under his coaching, India lead 5 match Test series on English soil by 2-1 where the last match was abandoned.

1. Gary Kirsten(2007-2011) :
Gary Kirsten name would certainly at the top of the list of Coaches for Team India who did wonders for them in bigger tournaments.
The biggest achievement, Men in Blue etched under his coaching leadership was none other than winning 2011 World Cup after a period of 27 years as India won the first won in 1983.
The final match played at Wankhede Stadium Mumbai where Gambhir and Dhoni played a pivotal role in batsmanship in order to ensure that India win this contest against Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.
Under his coaching, India reached at number 1 spot in Test ranking in the year 2009.
