5 Reasons behind the downfall of Indian Cricket

Team India’s schedule for 2019-20 season

In all three formats of the game, the Indian cricket squad is unquestionably at its lowest point, and it’s not entirely clear why this disaster occurred.

The richest cricket organisation in the world is the BCCI, and its leagues, such the IPL, are the biggest leagues. Even if the Indian cricket team has a wealth of talent at the grassroots level, it is still unknown why the Men in Blue side hasn’t been successful in winning a championship since 2013.

India clearly plays an antiquated style of cricket, and let’s examine the specific factors that led to Men in Blue’s demise in each of the three game formats.

Rohit Sharma

1. The Men in Blue didn’t benefit from the change of leadership since Rohit Sharma struggled tactically in crucial matches and occasionally made poor bowling decisions. He also struggled to motivate his teammates with his willow.

2. Constant modifications to Playing X1 are another factor in India’s failure in all three game formats, as senior players like – Due to workload management, Virat Kohli, Kl Rahul, and others are rested for a few bilateral series, but when it comes to major events, they are in the starting X1, which prevents the other players from having enough time to get to know them.

3. Decision As Yuzi Chahal was readily apparent on the semifinal field where India lost to England by ten wickets, mistakes are another factor to blame for the Men in Blue’s failure. On numerous occasions when the conditions called for different types of bowlers, we have chosen different bowlers.

4. Rahul Dravid’s coaching style needs to receive harsh criticism because the starting X1 lineup we’ve used in pivotal games calls into question not only the captain’s leadership style but also the coaching itself.

5. The lack of ideal replacements is another factor contributing to Indian cricket’s decline. When Bumrah sustained an injury prior to the T20 World Cup 2022 main event, we didn’t have an ideal bowler to step in. The same is true of Jadeja; when he was ruled out of the major competition, there wasn’t an ideal all-rounder of that calibre available.
