The opening match of the tri-nation tournament U19 tournament will be played between West Indies U19 and England U19.

West Indies U19 Preview:

West Indies U19 is hosting this tri-nation series and this tournament will be good practice for the team. West Indies won the U19 World Cup in 2016 defeating India in the final. After the World Cup 2018, they didn’t play any Youth ODI but few players took part in the domestic tournaments. They have announced their squad for the U19 World Cup and the same team will take part in the series. Seales and Forde both were the top-performers in the U19s Rising Stars Regional Tournament. Ramon Simmonds has also impressed with his extra pace and bounce.

England U19 Preview:

England U19 team had a good practice this year. They hosted tri-nation tournament against India and Bangladesh but they didn’t reach into the final. Many of the 16 players were also part of the tri-series at home. 2018 World Cup also a poor show for the English side. George Balderson will lead the side and George Hill will be the vice-captain. Scott Currie and Sam Young had impressed this summer in second-team cricket for Hampshire and Somerset respectively. Harry Duke was included as the wicket-keeper who was one of the top performers of the ECB Young Lions Super 4 Competition.

West Indies U19 and England U19 game will be played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. The ground hosted CPL matches and the international before. It will be the first Youth ODI on this ground. The surface is a decent batting track but have some good help for spinners. The score above 240 will be a tough to chase.
