TOT vs CHE Dream11 Prediction, Live Score & Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Chelsea FC Football Match Dream Team: English Premier League

TOT vs CHE Dream11 Prediction: In the pick of this weekend’s Premier League matches, Jose Mourinho faces off against one of his former clubs, in an intriguing London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea. Spurs have risen up the table since the Portuguese replaced Mauricio Pochettino, and go into the game in fifth place in the league.

Tottenham Hotspur Team Preview:

Tottenham Hotspur knows that a win against Chelsea on Sunday would see them enter the Premier League top four in time for Christmas. Last week’s 2-1 win at Wolves, secured with a resolute display and a last-gasp winner from Jan Vertonghen, means they have 26 points to their name – and are just three points behind their visitors. That’s because Frank Lampard’s men have hit a wall in recent weeks, losing four of their last five league outings, including a 1-0 reverse at home to Bournemouth last weekend. This will be the second time the pair – who had so much success together at Chelsea – have faced off as managerial counterparts. Last season, Lampard’s Derby side won a Carabao Cup tie against Mourinho’s Manchester United at Old Trafford. Spurs may have lost that trip to Old Trafford earlier on in December, but aside from that blip, Tottenham has looked like a rejuvenated side under Mourinho’s tutelage. He has spurred them on to win all of their other four Premier League games, with the most recent being a last-ditch 2-1 win at Wolves.

This excellent run of form has rocketed Spurs back into the running for a top-four spot, and victory on Sunday would see them occupy 4th place for Christmas day. They sit three points adrift of Chelsea but already have a superior goal difference, so there’s a lot on the line this weekend.

Chelsea FC Team Preview:

Chelsea’s season has been something of a mirror image to Tottenham’s. The Blues themselves looked rejuvenated earlier in the season, with Frank Lampard and his group of inexperienced young guns doing a fantastic job to win eight of their opening 12 games.

However, the wheels have started to shake over the last month or so. It started with a rather expected 2-1 loss to Manchester City, but their 1-0 capitulation at home to Bournemouth last weekend leaves them looking back on four defeats in their last five Premier League matches.

History isn’t on Chelsea’s side here either. The Blues have lost eight of their last nine Premier League away games against the traditional Big Six, and they have won just two of their last 13 away league games against Spurs. Not only that, but Jose Mourinho has won 12 and drawn one of his 13 competitive home games against teams he’s previously managed, including three victories at home to Chelsea.

Tottenham is a team on the up at the moment, and even before Mourinho’s arrival, they were tough to beat at home. They have only lost one home league game this season, and with Chelsea, in such poor form, we think backing another home win is a great value bet.

TOT VS CHE Dream11: Best players

Tottenham Hotspur:

Dele Alli has been wonderful since Mourinho’s arrival at Tottenham, returning to the form that had previously seen him heralded as one of England’s best midfielders.

The 23-year-old has scored four goals in six games since Mourinho took charge and added a further two assists. Tottenham’s game against Chelsea, then, comes at a great time for Mourinho with Alli historically enjoying facing the Blues.

Alli has scored three goals in his past two games against Chelsea with Tottenham, winning both those matches. In fact, on the three occasions Alli has scored against Chelsea in the Premier League, Tottenham has won.

Key stat: Dele Alli has scored five goals in five Premier League games against Chelsea.

Chelsea:

A Marmite figure at Stamford Bridge, Willian has been a favorite of Lampard this season and will be key if Chelsea is to get anything from this game.

The Brazilian has scored twice and assisted three times in 16 Premier League games this season, which some fans believe isn’t good enough for the man picked to replace Eden Hazard — at least by number.

However, he has been Chelsea’s most creative winger, creating 25 chances in total — second only to Mason Mount across the rest of the team. Willian has also created 18 chances from open play, the second-highest amount of any Chelsea player in the Premier League this season.

Key stat: Willian averages 1.48 chances created from open play in the Premier League per 90 minutes this season.
