The man who made his first-class debut at the age of 13 Mushtaq Mohammad is one of the finest all-rounders the game has ever produced. The multi-talented all-rounder was born on Nov 22, 1943, at Gujarat, India but later moved on to Pakistan. Technically sound batsmen and the able bowler who has got the reputation of performing well at overseas tours made him so special.

At the age 13, he got a 5-wicket haul and a half century during his debut first-class match after he went to represent the country at the age of 17. He is the only player who scored a century and took two five-wicket hauls in a single test match that too he has done it twice over his career. The disciplined all-rounder who is known for his aggressive batting skills also has got the ability to bowl tirelessly at one end. He is one among his four brothers who went on to represent Pakistan but he was more successful among all of them.

He has represented Pakistan in 57 occasions in test and scored 3643 at an average of 40 and took 79 wickets at an average of 29. During his playing days, Pakistan enjoys the luxury of fielding extra batsmen or bowler according to the situation mainly because of his all-around abilities.  His 72 hundred in 502 first class games speak the volumes of his batting standards and like mentioned earlier he was the go-to man for Pakistan in overseas conditions.

He has scored centuries in England, Australia and a double hundred in New Zealand also. Apart from representing Pakistan he also went on to represent Nottinghamshire in county circuit and he also captained them for a few years. He hangs up his boots in 1979 and went on to pursue his career as a commentator on television.
