About Career

Murphy Su’a overall played 13 Tests and 12 One Day Internationals for New Zealand.

International Debut information

The first test debut was made in the year 1992 Jan 30 against England and ODI debut 26 March 1995 against Sri Lanka.

Murphy played for the Auckland Cricket Association from 1990 to 1996 and represented New Zealand in that period, including being a member of the 1992 World Cup squad.

The highest run scoring in his carrier is 165 runs(test), 24(ODI), 828(FC) and 252(LA).

His wickets statistics is as follows 36 (Test), 9 (ODI), 141(FC) and 43(LA)

Best bowling information includes 5/73 (test), 4/59 (ODI), 6/56 (FC) and 6/26 (LA).

He represented his “senior club cricket” for Eden Roskill after playing in many junior age group sides in the Northern Districts area.

Last Test and ODI was played against Sri Lanka 18 March and 26 March 1995 respectively. Now, he is the “Samoan national coach”.

Overview Of Samoa National Cricket Team

The Samoan cricket team represents the Independent State of Samoa in international cricket. They over time became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC)

in 2000. They participated in the Pacifica Championship in 2001 and 2002, hosting the tournament on the second occasion. They grabbed the 6th position in 2001 and 5th in 2002. In 2005,

they took part in the East Asia/Pacific Cup, finishing in the last place, thus missing out on qualification for the 2011 World Cup. Since 2017, they became an associate member.
