He started playing at a very tender age. He was born in Warkworth to the very famous sports announcer Mike Vincent. His father used to go to Eden Park for announcements of games and Lou used to accompany his father and loved to watch those games. At the age of 15, he moved to Adelaide and started playing domestic cricket for local teams. At an age of 18, he returned to New Zealand and got a chance to play for ‘Under 19’ team in the Under 19 World cup where he played really well and he got absorbed in the international team after that.
His glorious career came to a halt when the anti-corruption cell of the international cricket council question him about his involvement in lots of international, domestic spot-fixing cases. Few of those tournaments where he assumed to be guilty were Indian cricket league, Champions League T20 and Bangladesh premier league, etc. Bangladesh cricket board first found him guilty and banned him for life. It was proved that he was approached for a spot-fixing and he didn’t take it in the notice of the council.
In 2014 after a lot of toils he accepted his involvement in several spot-fixing cases and many a time he changed the result of this technique. The England and Wales cricket board banned him for life from playing any form of cricket in the country. The international cricket council also banned him for life.
