England speedster, Jofra Archer, who was excluded from the second Test against West Indies for breaching the team biosecure protocols. The reason why Archer was not a part of the playing XI in the second Test match is that breached the code of conduct while travelling between the Ageas Bowl and Emirates Old Trafford as he stopped on the way to his flat at Brighton.

However, he issued an apology immediately after this but it didn’t go down well with ECB. The managing director of England men’s team Ashley Giles said that the mistake Jofra committed could have become a disaster.

He also said that Archer is a young men and he will make mistakes but it extremely important to learn from that mistake.

“This could have been a disaster,” Giles said. “The ripple effect from this small act could have cost us tens of millions of pounds.

“The potential knock-on effect I don’t think Jofra could have understood. We made it clear what we expected but maybe he did not quite understand.

There have to be consequences to every action and there will be a process we go through. There will be a disciplinary process. That is as much as I want to say on that as it is an employment matter.” Giles added.
