RCB skipper Virat Kohli has been fined for breaching the code of conduct in their recently concluded match against SRH.

The ace player has been charged with a Level 1 breach of clause 2.2 which states that “Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a Match”.

After Jason Holder dismissed him for 33, TV cameras caught Kohli kicking dugout chair and advertising cushion with his bat.

Match referee Vengalil Narayan Kutty reprimanded Kohli for his behavior. However, it is not the first time that any player has distorted any cricket equipment former KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir copped 15 percent of his match fee for a similar incident.

However, RCB currently stands top of the table after winning their both match in IPL 2021 and ace player lauded his team effort for defending 150 on the Chennai Ground where it is not easy for any new batsman to smack sixes right from the word go.

He also praised Maxwell for his outstanding knock for RCB being the game-changer for the franchise.

“Not as exhausted as I am proud (of the team). It was a top game for us, the wicket is going to get challenging, we saw that yesterday. You are never really out of the game in these conditions. We have more bowling options and those extra bowling options made those impact performances in the middle overs,” Kohli said after the game.

“The wicket was never a belter and our execution under pressure was spot on. It kept getting tougher and tougher with the old ball,” he stated.
