Career

Marshall was a middle-order batsman and also made an unbeaten 40. Hamish Marshall and James became the second pair of twins to play the Test cricket and are therefore the first identical pair. Because of Marshall’s involvement in the T20 match, around the year of 2009, Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Dinesh Karthik had to withdraw from playing in a friendly T20 cricket match between Australian Cricket Association and the New Zealand Cricket Players Association. Marshal has played almost 13 Tests and 66 ODIs and had made three centuries. But later he turned his back to international cricket in 2007-2008 just to play country cricket for Gloucestershire and has therefore spent 11 seasons in the West Country before returning home. Moreover, Marshal has enjoyed a steady county career without lighting up the English game which his early promise suggested was possible.
