Talking about his performance as a cricketer, Glenn Turner is an evergreen name of a sportsman New Zealand team has ever produced and Glenn has contributed to the team with his natural game style from his early age itself. Glenn represented the team of New Zealand in 41 test matches. Scoring a run rate of 44.64 including seven centuries, what made Glenn notable was his natural batting style. Due to several of his fall-outs with the administrators back then, Glenn was not selected for more for representing the country as a cricketer.

Glenn stepped into the world of cricket by marking his very first presence in the first class cricket for the Worcestershire in the English county championship. In which Glenn managed to score 34346 runs out of 455 first-class matches with a run rate of 49.70 with a whopping number of 103 centuries. Glenn also had an opportunity to coach the New Zealand team twice. Turner holds the record for scoring the highest percentage of runs in any completed innings which is 83.43%.

He was the very first batsman to score 300 runs in 33 years in a single day for England. Out of numerous other records held my turner, some of them are for being the first person to score 150 runs in ODI as well as in the World cup, the only batsman to face 200 deliveries in the ODI history.
