Chris Zinzan Harris is by far one of the most famous saviors of the New Zealand national team, and this is a fact, as he has saved the team from quite humiliating defeats on quite a lot of occasions, and indeed led the team to proud victories on more than half of those occasions. Early Life

Chris Harris was born on 20th November 1969, in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, and comes from the famous Harris Family, which has produced more than three famous national players, such as his father, Zin Harris, who was a famous cricketer in his own right.

Domestic Career

Chris played 128 matches in first-class cricket, scoring more than 7000 runs at 45, with more than 13 centuries. This player was truly one of the few all-rounders the world has seen, due to the fact that he showed equal proficiency, to the level of complete mastery, in both batting and bowling.  

International Career

He specialized in ODIs, where he blew away all other competition. He appeared in a stunning 250 ODIs, and was the first New Zealander to have taken 200 wickets, at an average of 37. He scored more than 4300 runs at 29 and boasts a terrifying more than 90 catches in the field. His balls are very hard to hit, as the technique requires the batsman to have undeniable skill and reflexes. Harris is also considered as one of the best close fielders to have played for the New Zealand National Team.
