Ujesh Ranchod was born in Salisbury, now Harare, in the now most populous city of Zimbabwe 17th of May in 1969. He is a former cricketer of the national Zimbabwe cricket team. He has also been a part of and played for the Mashonaland cricket team which is a first-class cricket team who represents the Mashonaland province in the country of Zimbabwe. He was right-hand batsman with a bowling style of right- armed off-break.

Ujesh Ranchod’s first test debut was at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi, India, against the Indian cricket team which occurred in the year of 1993, from 13th to 17th of March. This test match was also his only international Test match. He took his first international wicket in this match when he dismissed Sachin Tendulkar, one of the greatest batsman of all time, and also managed to hit a 4 when he batted.
With only have played three ODIs (One Day International) and a single Test match, Ujesh Ranchod had a rather simple and ordinary cricket career. His first ODI debut was when he played against the New Zealand cricket team at Harare Sports Club, situated in Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe, on 8th of November in the year 1992. Although he did not get to bat, he was able to successfully dismiss New Zealandian cricketer, RT Latham.
Ujesh Ranchod’s third and last One Day International was at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, located in Sharjah, a United Arab Emirates city, where he played against the national cricket team of Sri Lanka on the 3rd of February in the year 1993. In his last match, he managed to get a few runs for his team.
