Sanju Samson new skipper of Rajasthan Royals will get good support from the likes of Jos Butler, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer and will be looking to repeat the same performance which they achieved in the inaugural edition of IPL under the magical leadership of Shane Warne.

A startling move of dumping Steve Smith might prove to be crucial for RR this year but never or less they have a competing squad.

With the depth in their squad they need a fast bowler as well as an good Indian/overseas all rounder who can bring new dimensions and stability in their squad.
Players purchased from the auction: Shivam Dube , Chris Morris( The most expensive player 16.25 INR), Chetan Sakariya,Mustafizur Rehman, Liam Livingstone, KC Carriapa, Akash Singh and Kuldip Yadav.
Overall analysis of the squad: With the addition of Morris their squad look good but the problem with Morris is that he hasn’t played an competitive cricket from last one year. Also Indian batsman in the middle order is lacking which they should have gone for in the recently concluded auction. With Riyan Parag didn’t have good IPL last season it will be interesting to see that whether he gives his best in the upcoming season or not. They need to think a lot about their opening combination in every match.
