Kolkata Knight Riders needs an inspirational leader like Gautam Gambhir who guided them for two IPL titles and the moment he step down from the KKR captaincy they are in search for other dynamic leader like him. We hope their search ends at Eoin Morgan.
Taking about their last season went shuffling the captaincy between Dinesh Karthik and world cup wining captain Eoin Morgan as the former handed over the captaincy to the later in the mid of the encounter which backfired for them but this season they are back with Eoin Morgan as their skipper.

Eoin Morgan led side will be looking to revamp their squad at couple of minute changes in terms of adding an all-rounder as well as Indian batsman who can bring more stability and strength in their squad.
Let’s have a look at the list of Retained Players by KKR described below
The youth filled KKR have also retained most of their core players and would love to have a good season this year.
Players retained –
Eoin Morgan, Dinesh Karthik, Nitish Rana, Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Rahul Tripathi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kuldeep Yadav, Lockie Ferguson, Pat Cummins, Prasidh Krishna, Sandeep Warrier, Shivam Mavi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Tim Seifert.
Released players:
Tom Banton, Chris Green,Nikhil Naik, Siddharth M and Siddhesh Lad.
Purse remaining: Rs 10.85 crores
Players purchased in the auction: Shakib Al Hassan, Harbhajan Singh, Ben Cutting, Sheldon Jackson and Vaibhav Arora, Karun Nair, Pawan Negi and Venkatesh Iyer.
Overall Analysis of the squad post auction: They have missed a top order batsman as Rahul Tripathi hasn’t done well in last season despite one match where he scored big with only four overseas players allowed to play it will be too much of changing and chopping for them. Ideally it might be possible that they will still find their ideal XI for every encounter. Overall the squad looks doesn’t look completely balanced in terms of batsmanship.
