MS Dhoni led side who is also touted as one of the best IPL teams in the history of cash rich league till date have almost retained most of their players for IPL 2021. The only criticism that they have received is that they have again gone for more experience players rather than relying on the youngsters.

CSK had a pretty substandard season last year as they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time last year. They would be looking to build a squad with a mix of youth and experienced in this year’s auction.

Purse remaining: Rs 22.9 crores

With their squad of players who have been retained they need a quality overseas batsman or some one who is good with both and ball so an ideal pick for them could be Alex Hales, Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch and Moeen Ali.

Some Player purchased from the auction: Moeen Ali,  Cheteshwar Pujara , K Gowtham(9.25 crore), K Bhagath Verma, C Hari Nishanth and M Harishankar Reddy.

Overall analysis of the Squad:  They are looking quite strong as compare to last season as they needed an all rounder which they have got in form of Moeen Ali and players like Raina and Rayudu hasn’t played much cricket in last one year so it can become a daunting task for them.
