The official schedule of the Indian Premier League was released by BCCI on Sunday. As of now, the schedule for only the league stage has been announced. The fixtures for the playoffs will be announced later.
The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will begin from Chennai Super Kings taking on Mumbai Indians on 19th September 2020. As far as Kolkata Knight Riders are concerned, the franchise will play their first match on 23rd September 2020. KKR will square up against Mumbai Indians in their opening fixture.
As per the official schedule, Kolkata Knight Riders will play eight matches in Abu Dhabi and three-match apiece in Dubai and Sharjah. Dinesh Karthik and Co. will play two-afternoon games this season. One will be played staged in Abu Dhabi on 10th October, while the other one will be played on 24th October at the same ground.
Kolkata Knight Riders will put an end to their league stage fixtures on 1st November 2020. They will play their last game against Rajasthan Royals in Dubai.
Kolkata Knight Riders are one of the most consistent teams in IPL. They have won two titles in the history of IPL in 2012 and 2014. Both the triumphs came under the leadership of Gautam Gambhir. Dinesh Karthik and co. would look to win their third title ahead of IPL 2020.
