Hailing from the city of Bengaluru, Krishna plays for the Karnataka cricket team. A right-arm fast bowler, Krishna plies his trade for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.
Prasidh Krishna Domestic Career
Born in 1996, Prasidh Krishna turned 24 on 19th February 2020. Krishna rose to prominence while playing for India A side against Bangladesh in 2015. In what was his first-class game, Krishna grabbed 5 wickets for just 49 runs against Bangladesh A team.
He made his List A debut for Karnataka in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 25 February 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Karnataka in the 2017–18 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 January 2018. His best performance came in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he took thirteen wickets in seven games.
Prasidh Krishna IPL Career
Prasidh Krishna became a popular name in the year 2018 when he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 11 edition of the Indian Premier League. He came in as a replacement for injured Kamlesh Nagarkoti. He made his IPL debut on 6th May 2018 against Mumbai Indians. He took seven wickets in seven matches in that season. In the following season, however, he could not make any impact, fetching only 4 wickets in 11 games at an average of 94.25.
In 6 first-class games, Krishna has 20 wickets to his tally, while he has 50 wickets in 33 list-A games.
In just a few years, Krishna has made rapid strides and has been in the selector’s eye ever since he made his debut in the Indian Premier League. One won’t get surprised if the Karnataka bowler would earn his maiden India call-up in the near future.
