Surender Kumar Early Life:

Surender Kumar hails from Brana Village of Karnal district in Haryana. His father Malkhan Singh is farmer by profession and mother Nilam Devi is housemaker. He came from humble background was quite shy person during childhood and later shifted to Kurukshetra for his schooling.

During his school days he started taking deep interest in the game of Hockey. His first coach was Sardar Gurvinder Singh and Kumar later in his school days started spending more time in learning hockey lessons rather than focusing on studies.

Surender Kumar Professional Life:

Surender Kumar first played for Junior National team in the year 2012 with his consistent performance at junior stage he subsequently later played for junior Asia Cup, Sultan Johar Cup and Junior World Cup.

In the Hockey India League, Kumar was bought by Delhi Waveriders in 2015.

He played for the senior national side for the first time in the year 2016 in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. He has been phenomenal as player as recently he completed 100 matches for the national side due to his immaculate consistency and supreme skills on display.
