India’s Fixtures for the upcoming ICC T20 World cup in Australia

In 13 days, the Men in Blue will begin their quest to end a 15 year drought of winning the prestigious ICC T20 world cup which they last won in 2007. That victory against arch rivals Pakistan in the Final changed the appearance of Indian cricket forever.

The MS Dhoni led Indian team clinched the inaugural edition of the T20 world cup in the final over of the match but has failed to win it again ever since. This year with a new captain and a reenergized squad, team India will look to bring the trophy back home for the second time.

Rohit Sharma (Captain) and Dinesh Kartik (Wicket-keeper) are the only two players in the side who were a part of the 2007 T20 world cup winning squad. They will be hoping to use their experience to guide India towards their first ICC trophy since 2013.
