Paul Donald Wight II, popularly known by his ring name Big Show, is an American professional wrestler, currently working with World Wrestling Entertainment on the Smack down brand. Show is recognized as one of the greatest in-ring performers and heavy weight wrestlers of all time. Known as the ‘Giant’ also, Wight has had a superb wrestling career behind having earned several championships around his waist.

Big Show emerged as one of the most successful and influential professional wrestlers in the history of sports entertainment. He is the seven-time World Champion having became the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice, the WWF/WWE Championship twice, WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship twice and the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once. He has also been a 11-time world tag team champion and even won the Intercontinental, United States and Hardcore championships, he is the 24th Triple Crown and 12th Grand Slam winner in WWE history. He is the winner of 30-man André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31.

Big Show feuded with almost every leading superstar in the WWE that includes Mark Henry, The Undertaker, Triple H, The Great Khali, Batista, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and many more.

Paul Donald Wight II was born on February 8, 1972 in Aiken, South Carolina, United States. His early days of life was spent in doing jobs like bouncing, bounty hunting, and answering phone calls. He persuaded his education from  Wichita State University. and later met Hulk Hogan through  Danny Bonaduce. He was also involved in other sports including basketball and football.

Paul Wight II resides in Tampa, Florida, United States. He has married twice. He married his first wife, Melissa Ann Piavis, on 14th February 1997, and has a daughter named Cierra. He then married to a lady named Bess Katramados, with whom he has two children.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE

Paul Wight II  started his professional wrestling career  in 1995 when he became a part of World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He debuted under the ring name The Giant and had his first match at the 1995 Halloween Havoc, against WCW World Heavyweight Champion Hogan. He then won the championship belt, and reigned for next few days. In 1996, The Giant joined nWo group until December. He also won the battle royal at World War 3 and tried to challenge Hogan for a World Heavyweight title match.

In 1999, ‘The Giant’ signed a ten-year contract with World Wrestling Federation under the ring name Big Show. He then joined Vince Mc Mahon’s stable The Corporation, making his debut at the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre: In Your House.He feuded with  several superstars at that time including The Rock, Kane, The Undertaker, and McMahon. At the 1999 Survivor Series, Big Show won the WWF Championship for the first time, defeating The Rock and Triple H.

Big Show has earned numerous championship in his list of accomplishments in which he is the seven-time World Champion (the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice, the WWF/WWE Championship twice, WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship twice and the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once).
