Quarter-Final 3 – South Eastern Railways Vs. Eastern Railways

Perhaps the best match of the entire tournament was the third quarter-final between South Eastern Railways and Eastern Railways. Both the teams fought till the end and did everything to get the result in their favor. This match was an absolute cracker and it took a “Golden Raid” to decide the Winner.

SER won this match to enter the Semi-finals and they won it in the last raid. One of their brightest prospects was Raider Deepak who picked up pointsd after points using his pacey and smart understanding of Kabaddi. Sandeep and Surrender also aided for the winning cause but there was stiff competition in the form of Eastern Railways.

From ER, Sushil Kumar, Rishi Kumar Sah, Vikas and Yogesh kept on tussling and fought back until the Golden Raid toss took place and SER came for the raid. After the match got tied by 43-43, Best of 5 raids was also not enough to decide the result but the final raid by SER’s Surender took the match away from ER’s grip.

Final score line at the end of full time was 43-43. Match decided on Golden Raid.

Quarter-Final 4 – Central Railway Vs. Integral Coach Factory

Unlike the third quarter-final, the 4th and final quarter-final between Central Railway Vs. Integral Coach Force was not much competitive. It looked like the game was on the hands of CR and rightfully so, presence of big names in the team is reflecting on the results.

Central Railway did not have shortage of talented and well experienced players. The likes of Pankaj Mohite from Puneri Paltan, Shrikant Jadhav from Bengal Warriors Ajinkya Pawar from Tamil Thalaiavas helped the team knock ICF, Chennai out of the 70th AIR Kabaddi Championship.

The quality of CR’s players was just too much for the ICF players as Pankaj Mohit, Ajinkya Pawar and Shrikant Jadhav kept on pulling the triggers and stole points after points. It was 15-27 at the half-time.

And once the second half began, Central Railways kept their dominance intact and hurt their ICF even more. In the entire second half, ICF Chennai could only score 9 points in total, while CR’s formidable force amassed 28 points more. With this win they enter the Semi-Finals of the 70th All India Railway Kabaddi Championship.

They will face North Eastern Railways in order to get into the Finals. Final score line of this match was 24-55.
