Deepak was born and raised in Chamaria village in Rohtak, Haryana. He lost his mother when he was just four years old. His father and elder sister raised him. Unfortunately, tragedy struck once again when he had hardly become a teenager. Hooda lost his father as well in 2013.

Coming from a humble family, Hooda didn’t have a financial backup and had to start working to support himself. Hooda had to discontinue his school and started working as a teacher. He played kabaddi in evenings. Those years were hard, but the young lad was determined.

Deepak Niwas Hooda is an Indian kabaddi player and has been one of the most successful raiders in the Pro Kabaddi League. He made his debut in the inaugural season of Pro Kabaddi League. He also won a Gold medal in 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.

Deepak is one of the best all-rounders of the Pro Kabaddi League because of his reading of the game situation, currently, Hooda has 14 Super 10s, the fifth-most in the league.

in 2006, Deepak Niwas Hooda won the gold medal for the nation and the spectacular performances in pro league kabaddi. Deepak Hooda has consistently been making his mark in the sport. After the first two seasons, he stepped up as the leading raider for Puneri Paltan in the league.
