WWE: Goldberg returns, challenges ‘The Fiend’ For Universal Title

As we all know that ‘Road to Wrestlemania’ has kicked off with Royal Rumble 2020 where WWE Universe not only witnessed shocking returns of Edge & MVP but made Brock Lesnar equaling the record of Rumble eliminations with 13. World Wrestling Entertainment has shocked the WWE lovers by announcing Goldberg’s in-ring return against Bray Wyatt in the upcoming WWE Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia.

The ‘Spear King’ Goldberg will lock horns with ‘The Fiend’ for the WWE Universal Championship. During an interview with Michael Cole, Goldberg expressed his desire for a Universal title match as admitted that he never got a rematch after losing the championship to Brock Lesnar back in Wrestlemania 33.

Bray Wyatt interrupted the interview and accepted the challenge from Goldberg and made it official. Wyatt has recently defeated Daniel Bryan in a strap match for the Universal Championship at Royal Rumble 2020. On the other hand, Goldberg made his return to WWE after 12 years in 2016 and later defeated Kevin Owens to win WWE Universal Championship.

Goldberg has had a legendary wrestling career left behind where he held an unprecedented record of 173-0 in WCW, and later joined WWE, where he held World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Universal Championship one time respectively. Goldberg was last seen squaring- off with Dolph Ziggler at Summerslam 2019.
