Bengal Warriors Vs. Tamil Thalaivas

PKL SEASON 9

Match number 55 of Pro kabaddi league season 9 saw Bengal Warriors face resounding Tamil Thalaivas. The latter had a disappointing start to the season but they are slowly finding the right combination and some individual performances have added to their late success.

This match was one of the most competitive matches this season as both the teams equally deserved to win the game but in the end the match ended in a draw.

Warriors started the game very well with Maninder scoring 9 Raid points in the first half but Thalaivas Raider Narender went toe-to-toe with him and also scored 9 raid points.

Due to Thalaivas’ dominant first half display they were leading by 13 points at the end of first 20 minutes.

However, things took an unprecedented turn as soon as the second half began. Bengal’s Captain Maninder Singh was the one responsible for the comeback as he completed his Super 10 and walked out with outstanding 19 Raid points.

His compatriot Shrikant Jadhav did not have an eventful night as he collected only 3 raid points but Deepak Hooda’s all-round performance (9 raid points and 2 tackle points)helped Bengal produce an emphatic comeback.

Narender from Thalaivas looked brilliant and he is somehow trying to fill the void left by PKL’s most expensive player, Pawan Sehrawat. He completed his Super 10 and brought back 15 raid points.

Raider Ajinkya Pawar supported Narender by collecting 9 raid points and kept Thalaivas away from another loss. Final score line at the end of full time was 41-41.

U Mumba Vs. Telegu Titans

PKL SEASON 9

Telegu Titans lose yet another match this season and what a terrible season this is turning out to be for them as they lost their 9th match of the season. Their play-off hopes are looking gloomy as of now.

U Mumba took charge of the game and defeated the Titans by a margin of 3 points. A clinical team performance helped them win the match without much difficulty.

In terms Raiding, the department was headed by Ashish, who completed his Super 10 and finished with 12 Raid points. Heiderali Ekkrami and Pranay Rane brought back combined 10 raid points – 4 Raid points and 6 Raid points respectively.

The defense complimented the attackers as  captain Surinder Singh and Mohit won 4 tackle points, Harendra Kumar and Rahul Sethpal trapped 2 tackle points each.

Meanwhile the same story continued for Telegu Titans – lack of team performances. Siddharth Desai has been by far their best player and he proved it tonight by picking outstanding 18 raid points for a losing cause.

Another major reason hindering Titans’ season is presence of only two raiders in the team. Abhishek Singh and Siddharth Desai are the only two recognised raiders for them but the latter has utterly failed to contribute at all.

Other than Desai’s 18 raid points left cover Parvesh Bhainswal collected 8 tackle points but the lack of unity helped them lost the match.

Final score line at the end of full time was 40-37.
