Early Life

K Prapanjan is a Tamil Nadu born Indian kabaddi player. Born on 29 May 1993 in Sankagiri, Prapanjan developed an early love for Kabaddi. K Prapanjan did his schooling from Government Boys Higher Sec School, Sankagiri and his graduation from Sri Ganesh Arts and Science College, Salem.

From childhood itself, K Prapanjan had a lot of exposure to the Kabaddi world and he got his inspiration for playing kabaddi from his father Kumaravel who was a district-level Kabaddi player and also works as a lorry driver in his hometown.

K Prapanjan’s father Kumaravel who was a district-level Kabaddi player. His mother also Uma is a homemaker and supported her children the same way she supported her husband and encouraged them to never give up on their passion and love for the game.

K Prapanjan has two siblings his brother Subash and sister Yashini, later on, stepped into their family legacy. His siblings never missed any of his matches and observed him closely to learn from him and to help him correct his flaws. K Prapanjan is very close to his siblings.

K Prapanjan got married to Keerthana Rajendran on 27th March 2020. Keerthana Rajendran is a doctor by profession and likes to watch kabaddi.

K Prapanjan Pro Kabaddi League

Prapanjan made his debut in Pro Kabaddi League season 2 when he was snapped by U Mumba, where he earned 2 raid points out of 4 matches used as a substitute. He then played for U Mumba for another season, but his statistics remained the same as U Mumba was brimming with talent in both raiding and defending departments and he didn’t get an opportunity to make an impact before moving on and then playing for a different team each season.

K Prapanjan featured for Telugu Titans in Season 4 and earned 12 raid points out of 11 matches played, mostly used as a substitute/impact raider in do-or-die situations. Tamil Thalaivas in Season 5, as deputy to Ajay Thakur and by had his best season scoring 123 raid points out of 22 matches played. He was known for scoring the highest Do-or-Die raid points for Tamil Thalaivas in season 5. 

In season 6, he joined Gujarat Fortune Giants and was appointed as the vice-captain of the team. He maintained his striking statistics by earning 122 raid points out of 22 matches and took his team to the finals.

In Season 7, Bengal Warriors splashed the cash for the talented raider and sealed his signature for Pro Kabaddi League Season 7 for 55.5 lakhs at the auction. He became one of the key players to take Bengal Warriors to the title scoring more than 100 points for a consecutive third season. He complimented Nabibaksh, Maninder Singh and Sukesh Hegde perfectly all throughout the season.
