Mohammed Yasir, a Manipur native, made his competitive football debut in the National School Games in the year 2014. Yasir enrolled in the Pune Academy in the year 2015, followed by the Pune City Academy in the year 2016. Mohammed Yasir led the under-19 football team that won the IFA Shield in the month of June of the year 2017 while playing for the football club Pune City.
Mohammed Yasir was chosen by the football club of Goa on July 23, of the year 2017, in the fourteenth round of the 2017–18 ISL Players Draft, for the next Indian Super League campaign.
