Santi Cazorla is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the La Liga club Villarreal and the Spanish national team.
EARLY LIFE
Santi was born on 13 December 1964 in Llanera, Asturias, Spain. He began his early career in Football with the local Football club CD Covadonga before moving to Oviedo.

Santi Cazorla married his long-time girlfriend Ursula Santirso. The couple is blessed with a daughter named Santi Ursula and a son named Enzo Cazorla
CLUB CAREER
At the age of 17, Santi joined Villarreal B in 2003. Within a year, Santi was placed on the main squad in the 2004-05 season. He spends nine years playing for Villareal FC, appearing in 54 games.
In the mid-2006, he moved to Recreativo for a four-year contract on a transfer fee of six million euros. He played his debut match against RCD Mallorca that ended in a draw. His performance later earned him the title of being the Spanish player of the Year by Don Balon European Sports Magazine member.
In 2007, he returned to Villareal, playing for the La Liga club he found the back of the net five times and assisted two goals during his debut season. On 26th July 2011, he was traded to Malaga on a transfer fee of 21 million euros for which he made his debut on 28th August.
On 7th August 2012, he moved to Arsenal for 10 million euros. He made his debut for the team against Sunderland where he was chosen the man of the match.
In the 2013-14 season, he scored his first goal for the season against Liverpool. In 2014-15 season he started the campaign with a goal at Wembley against Manchester City in the FA Community Shield.
On 9th August 2018, he made his return to Villarreal. He made his appearance after the contract against the Real Betis on 27th September 2019 in a 5-1 win.
In the game, he netted his 46th goal and thus became the highest goal scorer with 46 goals after Juan Roman Riquelme.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Santi began his international career under coach Inaki Saez, playing for the Spanish under-21 team. On 17th May 2008, he was placed in the UEFA Euro 2008 squad. He netted his first international goal against Chile on 19th November 2008.
In the 2014 FIFA World Cup, he appeared for the team in the last 14 minutes against Chile but lose the match and was eliminated.
CONTROVERSY
Santi was mired in controversy against West Bromwich Albion, he earned a penalty upon apparently being tripped by Steven Reid, which was converted to make 1-0 in a 2-0 success.
