Sunil Chettri is an Indian professional Footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League and Indian Super side Bengaluru.
EARLY LIFE
Sunil was born on 3 August 1984 Secunderabad, India to father KB Chettri and mother Sushila Chettri. Sunil started playing Football professionally at Mohun Bagan in 2002. He later shifted to JCT were hr netted 21 goals and appeared in 48 matches.
PERSONAL LIFE
Sunil is a married man he tied knot with his long-time girlfriend Sonam Bhattacherjee on 4th December 2017.
CLUB CAREER
In 2010 he moved to Kansa City Wizards of Major League soccer. He thus became the third player from the subcontinent to go abroad. But his work in the United States doesn’t last long and he no sooner gets back to Indian I-league.
He signed the Sporting club de Portugal of the Primeira League, whom he played only form the club’s reserve side.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Sunil debut in the Indian National Football team after he gained fame by showcasing his playing skills. He assisted his national team to conquer the Nehru Cup as well as the 2011 SAFF Championship.
Within no time he earned the tag of being the best strikers and the best player in the Indian team during the AFC Challenge Cup.
