Delhi Capitals would like to get back to winning ways against Rajasthan Royals at Dubai International Stadium. Royals who did manage to win their last game ending a 4 match losing streak and should thank Parag Tewatia duo for the partnership against Hyderabad when the match was almost out of their reach. Rajasthan managed to win the match after top-order did not contribute anything substantial and that should keep their morale high but top 5 have to score and make powerplay count.

Smith, Butler, Samson, Uthappa, Stokes have to put their hand up. Stokes inclusion looked a desperate move but now management would hope he gets back to his groove and delivers the goods. Samson and Smith‘s form has deserted both and its impact can be seen clearly in the standings of Royals team. Bowling also has not been upto the mark with bowlers apart from Jofra are taken to cleaners and performance has been inconsistent, to say the least. Royals have to be at their absolute best to have any chance of defeating Capitals.
Delhi Capitals were beaten convincingly by Mumbai in the last encounter but they will fancy their chances. Rishabh Pant getting injured has forced Delhi team to change their combination and it means Heytmer has to miss out some more games. This leaves Delhi with Stoinis only as a hitter in slog overs to score quick runs or closeout matches while chasing. Dhawan who played well would like to improve his strike rate as he played a tad slow.
Rahane would like to score more runs and Iyer is batting the situations very well. Their bowling looks good with both African pacers, Rabada and Nortje, have been magnificent. Spinners have done well and Stoinis –Harshal have done a decent job as 5th bowling option. Delhi has beaten Royals last week quite comprehensively and would like to continue the process. Royals would also be looking to build in momentum from last match victory and Stokes giving them balance, they will be difficult to beat this time.
Toss would again be a factor as the pitch is slowing down in second innings and a team that wins the toss would bat first. Royals victory would be good for the tournament and if they play to potential might pip Delhi in this encounter.
