Royal Challengers Bangalore has been a thrilling team to watch since the Indian Premier League (IPL) began, but the squad hasn’t yet been successful in taking home any championships.

Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, Chris Gayle, Faf Du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell are all well-known players who have played for the club, so, strangely, they haven’t been able to bring home the trophy yet. Beginning on April 2, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will compete in the IPL 2023 against the five-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians.

1. Virat Kohli

When it comes to leading the team in the batting order, the former captain of team India and RCB will once again be an important player. An important element is the right-contagious hander’s intensity as captain, hitter, and fielder on the field. The 34-year-old has always been a standout defender and batsman, but as RCB’s captain, Kohli has been unlucky not to lead his team to victory. The right-hander had a strike rate of 115.98 and 341 runs in the 16th Edition of the IPL. He may be the man to watch out for this season.

2. Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik evolved with age as he shows the ability to bat with sheer concentration when the team needs him. The 38-year-old continues to serve the RCB in this capacity. As we’ve seen in the past, the right-hander can destroy the best bowlers on his day. Karthik’s greatest strength is his unconventional batting approach. Karthik was named the 2022 season’s Power Player of the Season for his impressive strike rate of 183.33. He averaged 55 runs per season last year, scoring 330 of them. Karthik is unquestionably one of the favourites to win the Orange Cap in the IPL 2023 and will be expected to perform well once more in the upcoming season.

3. Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar, 29, produced some excellent batting performances in the previous season with his assured stroke play, making him one of the team’s early discoveries.

Among the favourites to take home the Orange Cap in the IPL 2023 is Patidar. During the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy season, he averaged 62.02 runs per game while scoring 565 runs in 7 games. After some successful performances during the most recent IPL season, Patidar made a lasting impression. He scored 333 runs with an average of 55.50 and a strike rate of 152.75.

4. Mohammed Siraj

India’s current bowling shining star Siaraj might spell magic this season for RCB. In the 65 games he has played so far in the IPL, Mohammed Siraj has taken 59 wickets, with an average of 33.07 and a top individual performance of 4/32. He has also allowed roughly 8.78 runs per over.

5. Josh Hazelwood

Australian star pacer Josh Hazelwood will be the biggest asset for RCB in bowling. Josh Hazlewood has participated in 24 games thus far in the IPL and has taken 32 wickets at an average of 22.94, while also averaging roughly 8.02 runs per over and recording his best personal performance of 4/25. He performed 23/2 against Rajasthan in his last IPL match against Rajasthan at Narendra Modi Stadium Gujrat.
