Wimbledon 2023: Half of the Round 4 fixtures confirmed, Djokovic eyes third consecutive slam this year

A total of 16 players reach the Round of 16 in a Grand Slam, and in the Wimbledon 2023 Championship, eight men’s singles players have confirmed their berth. This means that we have four fixtures locked in that will be played tomorrow. The other four fixtures will be confirmed by tonight, as at the time of writing, round 3 matches for a few players are still going on.

The four fixtures that have been secured till now are: Roman Safiullin vs. Denis Shapovalov, Andrey Rublev vs. Alexander Bublik, Hubert Hurkacz vs. Novak Djokovic, and Jannik Sinner vs. Daniel Galan.

Andrey Rublev, Novak Djokovic, and Jannik Sinner are among the top 10 seeds in this year’s Wimbledon and have played like the best players as well. They have been right on the money with their game sense and showcasing skills.

These matches will be really interesting, as it remains to be seen which players reach the quarterfinals of the best Grand Slam in tennis history. If we talk about probability, Denis Shapovalov, Andrey Rublev, Novak Djokovic, and Jannik Sinner are expected to win their respective matches and book their quarterfinal spots.

Novak Djokovic is playing like the absolute favourite, and it is very difficult to stop him at the moment. He is well on his way to winning his 8th Wimbledon title and the third consecutive Grand Slam this year in 2023.

Among the other spots in the Round of 16, Daniil Medvedev has confirmed his spot, beating Marton Fucsoviks. First seed Carlos Alcaraz, fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, and sixth seed Holger Rune are still contesting their round 3 match.

Later in the day, we have two very fascinating matches coming up between Frances Tiafoe and Grigor Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev and Matteo Berrettini. Only two of these four incredible players will move on to the fourth round.
