Novak Djokovic is a professional Serbian Tennis player, who is arguably considered the third greatest tennis player of the modern era after Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. He has won a total of 16 grand slams (7 Australian Open, 5 Wimbledon, 3 US open and 1 French Open), five ATP Finals titles, 33 ATP Tour Masters 1000 titles, 12 ATP Tour 500 titles and a bronze medal in singles at the 2008 Olympics Beijing.

Novak Djokovic was born in 22 May 1987, in Belgrade, SR Serbia, Yugoslavia, to parents Srđan and Dijana (née Žagar). He has two younger siblings Marko and Djordje, who are aspiring for professional tennis career.
Most fans are unaware that the Serbian legend met his future wife Jelena Ristić during his high school days and two years later started dating the lady. He started playing Tennis at the age of 4 and at the age of 7 he was spotted by Yugoslav tennis player Jelena Genčić. After witnessing the child Djokovic play she stated “This is the greatest talent I have seen since Monica Seles.”

Novak Djokovic is of both Croatian and Serbian descendant. He is married to his high school love Jelena Ristic Djokovic in 2014, he became a proud father in October 2014 after Jelena gave to birth to their son Stefan, 3 years later their daughter Tara was born in September 2017.
Djokovic can speak four languages (Serbian, French, English German and Italian). The legend is a huge supporter of Red Star Belgarde, AC Milan and S.L Benfica. In 2007, he founded Novak Djokovic foundation aiming at helping the underprivileged children and provide them financial assistance and education to live a normal life.

Novak Djokovic turned pro in 2003 after he represented Yugoslavia national team at the Davis Cup and the Australian Open, US Open and Wimbledon. In the year 2007 for the first time his ranking moved within the top 10.
Although, he couldn’t win a single grand slam, but was awarded with golden badge for best athlete in the Serbia by the Olympic Committee of Serbia. After losing the Hopman Cup final in 2008, Djokovic won his maiden Grand slam (Australian Open).
In 2009, he reached the semi- finals of all the major tournaments and finished at number 3 spot in the ATP World rankings. In 2010 he was again named the “Serbian Athlete of the Year” by DLS sport and “Serbian Sportsman of the Year” by Olympic Committee of Serbia.
2011 was a remarkable year for Djokovic, he won the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. He also won five ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles.
In 2012 he managed to win only 2 major tournaments that includes Australian Open and Tour finals. In 2013, he again won the Australian Open, but failed to win any other major grand slam.
In 2014 he managed to win only a single grand slam (Wimbledon), but US Open was an outstanding year for Djokovic, he won 3 major grand slams (Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open).
In 2016, he again won 2 major grand slams (Australian Open and French Open). It was the first time when Djokovic finished the season without a grand slam in the last 5 years in 2017, but in 2018 he again bounced back with two grand slams (Wimbledon and US Open) win under the belt.
In 2019 he has already won two grand slams (Australian Open and Wimbledon) finishing the tally at 16 grand slams.
