Watch : Lionel Messi score his 100th, 101st and 102nd International goal for Argentina against Curacao!

Reigning World champions Argentina are on a red hot form and they certainly picked it up from where they left. Lionel Messi led from the front once again as La Albiceleste first registered a 2-0 win over Panama and a thumping win last night by 7-0 against Curacao.

The Iconic #10 Lionel Messi joined an elite list of 100 International goals and also scored his 101st and 102nd goal wearing the Argentine jersey. In front of more than 30,000 fans, Messi bagged a wonderful hat-trick and his brigade scored 4 more to round up a great reunion after winning 2022 FIFA World Cup at Qatar.

It has been an illustrious 6 months for Lionel Messi who not just won the WC but also grabbed the Golden ball award alongside his team mates Emi Martinez and Enzo Fernandez winning the Golden glove and best young player of the tournament award.

And last night at the Estadio Unico Madre de Ciudades, it was Messi who opened the scoring after his team mates failed to capitalize on their respective chances. In the 19th minute, Messi received the ball on his left foot and rounded off the defender to score from his right and made it 1-0.

4 minutes later, Valencia’s Nico Gonzalez doubled the home team’s lead through a rebound headed effort beating Curacao goalkeeper Eloy Room in a dramatic sequence. But his Captain got on the score sheet once again in the 33rd minute by finishing off a wonderful strike with his left foot.

La Albiceleste then scored 2 goals within 2 minutes as Enzo Fernandez made it 4-0 through a wonderful right footed in-swing effort to go 5-0 in the first half.

Then in the 2nd half Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Montiel scored goals in 78 and 87 minute to bury Curacao 7-0 at home.
