Unai Emery is a Spanish football manager who is serving as the Head coach of the English club Arsenal from May 2018. He made his Managerial debut in 2004 after which there was no looking back as he coached the Almerica, Valencia, Spartak Moscow, Sevilla and Paris Saint German leading each and every team to prestigious titles.
EARLY LIFE
Unai was born on 3rd November 1971 in Hondarribia, Spain to Juan Emery and Amelia Etxegoien. His father as well as his grandfather both played Football. Both were goalkeepers. Being born in a family of Footballers, he began his career in Football as a midfielder after graduating from Real Sociedad. Unai spent the majority of his time in Spain’s Segunda Division at the beginning of his Football career.

Unai married his long-time girlfriend Luisa Fernandez in 2005 after they were blessed with a baby boy in 2003.
PROFESSIONAL LIFE
After retiring as a player in 2004, Unai started his coaching career with Lorca Deportiva CF, where he achieved promotion in his first season itself.
After Lorca, he joined the Spanish football club Almeria and led them to the La Liga title for the first time in the club’s history. That La Liga title opened gates of opportunities for Unai. He then joined Valencia and the team finished in top 3 in La Liga. He then coached Spartak Moscow for six months before going to Sevilla in 2013.
He helped Sevilla win three consecutive Europa League titles, from 2013-16. In 2016, having seen his coaching skills, the French Club Paris Saint Germain hired him. After getting into PSG, Unai led them to the domestic treble which included Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue, and Trophee des Champions.
In the second season, Unai exceeded this leading the team to win four domestic trophies for 2018 which included Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue, and Trophees des Champions.
On 23rd May 2018, Unai was appointed as the new head coach of Arsenal FC on a two-year deal with the club. Under his guidance, the team became the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League runners-up.
