Pro Kabaddi league season 9 has completed 30 days of non stop kabbadi action and we are halfway through the season. 70th match of this edition saw UP yoddhas take on Haryana steelers.
Two strong teams clashed and the match was really close but UP yoddhas had the last laugh. With this win the boys from UP have climbed up to the 7th spot in the points table and Haryana have dropped tot he 10th spot.
We witnessed two super 10s in this match, first by UP’s Surendra gill and the second by Haryana’s Manjeet Dahiya. The difference between both the teams at the end of full time was 6 points.
The credit for this when should go to UP’s experienced defence who were out for a mission and together they gathered vital 11 tackle points.
Ashu Singh only needed a single point to complete his super 5 with Nitesh Kumar (3) Gurdeep (1) and and Sumit (3) playing the supporting role.

U Mumba Vs. Puneri Paltan
Match number 71 of PKL featured the Maharashtra Derby between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan. This match was really very close and it could have gone anywhere but the one time champions held their nerves and grabbed a famous victory against interstate at rivals.
Both the teams went toe-to-toe against each other with Guman Singh from Mumbai and Mohit Goyat from Pune scoring 13 raid points each. But for the second time this evening a team with a stable and solid defence won the match.
U Mumba had a far better tackle success rate of 42.86% as compare to Puneri’s 26.09%. Harendra Kumari (2), Rinku (4), Mohit (1) and Kiran magar (3) bagged home combined 10 tackle points.
Final score line at the end of full time was 34-33.
Patna Pirates Vs. Jaipur Pink Panthers
Match number 72 took place between three times champions Patna pirates and season 1 Champions Jaipur Pink Panthers. It was a very important fixture for both the sides but Patna pirates maintained their winning streak and won the match by a margin of 7 points.
Sachin Tanwar and Rohit Gulia were once again monumental in this victory and helped the team to take the 5th position in the points table. The former scored 8 Raid points while the latter brought back 9 raid points.
On the other side Arjun Deshwal scored a super 10 and ended the night with 13 raid points to his name. But he did not receive the support of other Raiders as V Ajit Kumar scored 1 raid point and Bhawani Rajput managed to win only 2 raid points.
