Pro Kabaddi League Season 3: The year was 2016 and Pro Kabaddi League was all set to play the third season after the stupendous success of Pro Kabaddi Season 1 and Season 2. It was a glorious time for Indian sports as Indian masses were ready to experiment with different sports which were the major reason behind the emergence of Kabaddi.
Looking back at the last 3 years’ track record and viewership, the league witnessed a 36% steep rise in viewership compared to last season. On the digital platform, the league grew by 33 percent growth in total minutes viewed on Hotstar, the digital platform of Star India, over the first 11 days of the 2016 edition.
Looking at the success graph a total of 64 brands were associated with the Pro Kabaddi in the Season 3. It was the first time that two seasons of the Pro Kabaddi were played in the same year and this was the first of them.
Pro Kabaddi Season 3 began on 13th January 2016 and the final was played on 5th March 2016.

Semi-Finals:
Semi-Final 1– First semifinal was played between Patna Pirates and Puneri Paltan at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad. Patna Pirates beat Puneri Paltan convincingly to enter the final.

Semi-Final 2– The Second semifinal was played between U Mumba and Bengal Warriors at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Delhi. U Mumba beat Bengal Warriors to set up a final date with Patna Pirates.

3rd position– The match for the third position was played between Puneri Paltan and Bengal Warriors at Thyagaraj Sports Complex, Delhi where Punei Paltan trounced.

Final:
The final of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 3 was played between Patna Pirates and U Mumba at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex, Delhi. Patna Pirates beat U Mumba in a thriller to win their maiden Pro Kabaddi League title.
