Ahmedabad, October 27: India's men are into the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Kabaddi Championship after beating Tanzania 48-20 at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex on Tuesday. It was their fourth win from four, after victories over England, Malaysia and Nigeria, and it follows India's women into the last four.
India were in charge from start to finish. They scored 30 raid points and 10 tackle points and inflicted six All-Outs, while Tanzania managed 15 raid points and five tackle points and could not land a single All-Out in return.
Narwal leads the raiding again
Neeraj Narwal, who starred in the win over Malaysia on Sunday, top-scored for India with 12 points from 16 raids, six of them bonus points. Naveen Kumar and Shivam Patare backed him up with nine raid points each, both from 11 raids, giving India three raiders Tanzania could not contain.

Shinde marshals the defence
At the back, Shubham Shinde led India's defence with five tackle points. Deepak added three and Pravesh Malik two, and between them they kept Tanzania's raiders quiet for most of the match.
Tanzania's bright spot was Juma Sultania, who scored 14 against Malaysia on Monday and followed up with 13 points from 20 raids here, nine of them bonuses. He was the match's top scorer, but he had little support.
