Kohli Only Cricketer Instagram top 10 rich lists The Indian skipper and World Number 1 batsman Virat Kohli has become the only cricketer to feature in the Top 10 Instagram Sports Rich List. He has grabbed the ninth position on the list, while football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo remained top for the second year in a row, as he earns an eye popping amount of £784,000 (Rs 6.74 crore) for sharing one post on Instagram.
If we closely look at the list, leaving Kohli apart, the other 8 players hail from football and just a single player from Basketball. Kohli’s the most followed cricketer across the globe with huge 36 million followers on Instagram and a combined 100 million on Facebook and Twitter.
Kohli, though, finds himself ahead of the likes of Conor McGregor and Mohammad Salah, who are global superstars in themselves.
Kohli Income Through Instagram
He is paid £158,000 (Rs 1.35 crore) for sharing 1 Instagram post, which is way less compared to the footballers on the list.
Global superstar and greatest footballer of his generation, Lionel Messi, has secured the third spot; he has 123 million followers on Instagram and charges £521,000 per post.
LeBron James is the only other athlete apart from Kohli, outside of football, who successfully found a place in the list with 50 million followers on Instagram, and stands tall at the fifth position.
Messi and Neymar are the only sportspersons in the list with more than 100 million followers, followed by David Beckham with 57 million followers.
