Chennai Super Kings got back to winning ways after registering a 20 run victory over Sun Risers Hyderabad(SRH) on Tuesday in IPL 2020. MS Dhoni won the toss at Dubai International Stadium and elected to bat first despite losing Faf Du Plessis on duck they were able to score 167 runs on the board thanks to special hitting by Ravindra Jadeja at the latter half of the Chennai innings.
Sun Risers Hyderabad looked confident when they came to out to bat but things didn’t go the way they planned as there was a lone effort from Kane Williamson who played superbly on that track for his gritty half-century but at the end, they fell short by 20 runs.
However, MS Dhoni who is known for being cool and calm on the field lost his composure in the 19th Over of SRH innings when Rashid Khan was facing Shardul Thakur where the latter bowled the wide yorker to Afghan Batsman and it looked like that umpire was about to stretch his arms to signal a wide but then an animated reaction from the former Indian captain led to Reiffel change his mind and stop the decision midway. Captain Cool was criticized for this act on social media.

Also, SRH skipper David Warner was not pleased with the final decision. MS Dhoni after winning the match said in a post-match presentation that It was sort of Perfect game for us where we executed our plans with the bat and he praised Sam Curran who scored 31 runs from 21 balls in the top and receive huge support from Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu who scored 42 and 41 runs respectively. Late cameos from Dhoni and Jadeja Propelling CSK to get 167 runs at the loss of 8 wickets on board.
Chennai Super Kings have to win matches in succession if they want to qualify for the playoffs as they are currently placed at the sixth place in the points table after earning 6 points from three victories they have clinched at the ongoing edition of IPL 2020.
