In 2008, Mandeep was a part of the Women’s Indian Team at the Olympics.

PROFESSIONAL LIFE      

In 2007, Kaur earned a gold medal in the 4*400 m relay at the Asian Championships held in Amman. Apart from this, she further achieved another Asian Championship (2009) gold medal in Guangzhou.  

In 2008, she participated at the Olympic Games. Unfortunately, Kaur failed to qualify the 1st round.

Mandeep Kaur earned golds in the 4*400 m relay (women) at the Commonwealth Games (2010) & the Asian Games (2010 and 2014).

In 2011, Mandeep Kaur was tested positive for the anabolic steroids (methandienone & stanozolol) by Reuters during off-season tests after the announcement of the AFI (Athletics Federation of India.

Kaur blamed her testing results on tainted food supplements. She denied consuming any banned substance knowingly.

She along with Sini Jose & Ashwini Akkunji was fired by India’s Sport’s Minister.

Although Kaur came forward with many justifications to clear her side but the doping scandal did affect Kaur’s fame and her sporting journey as well.
