Indian Batsman Virat Kohli retains his top spot in ICC ODI Batsman rankings by his brilliant performance in recently concluded white ball series against Australia where he scored two half-centuries followed by his deputy Rohit Sharma who still remains at the 2nd position despite missing the Australian series due to hamstring injury. Babar Azam is currently placed at third position in ICC Batsman rankings.

However, Hardik Pandya who was playing his first ODI after 2019 world cup was in sublime form against Australia where he scored 90 and 92 runs on both occasions to make his first appearance in top 50 batsman list at 49th place with a career-best of 553 points.

Also, Australian limited-overs format skipper Aaron Finch who scored 114 runs followed by 60 and 75 runs in three ODI against India helped him to carrier best tally of 791 points due to which he finished at the fifth place while another ace Australian batsman Steven Smith who scored a century against India in 62 balls have also moved into top 20 as he is currently number 15th with 707 points.

There was one performance that surprised all KXIP fans which was from Glenn Maxwell who had a disastrous IPL but as soon as he played recently concluded white ball series against India he found his rhythm back where he scored 167 runs in the series at a strike rate of 194.18 with two half-centuries to push him back to 20th rank. However in a series where a lot of runs were scored Adam Zampa and T Natrajan made a huge impact with the ball where Zampa took 7 wickets which made him climb to the fourteenth position with a carrier best of 623 points. Josh Hazlewood took six wickets and moved up a place to the sixth rank.

Kohli was criticised heavily for his captaincy when India lost the ODI series against host but under his leadership, the team turn things around when they won T20 series and with this feat, he became the first Indian skipper to win T20I series in all SENA countries.
