In response, the CSK started off aggressively, with their opener Ruturaj Gaikwad (26 runs) unleashing an array of powerful strokes. However, Gujarat Titans’ disciplined bowling attack, spearheaded by Mohit Sharma, stifled Chennai’s progress. Mohit’s intelligent use of turn claimed crucial wickets, while spinner Noor Ahmad displayed his brilliance by scalping two crucial wickets.

Chennai’s chase suffered a major setback when their skipper MS Dhoni fell victim of Golden Duck to Mohit Sharma. Despite this set back, Devon Conway (47 runs), Ajinkya Rahane (27 runs), Ambati Rayudu (19 runs), Ravindra Jadeja (15 runs) and Shiva Dube (32 runs) made spirited contributions.

In a thrilling final over, CSK need 10 runs to win from the last two balls. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadega stepped up to the situation and smashed six on the 5th ball. He then got lucky and finds a gap in fine leg for 4 runs on the final ball of the inning. Chennai Super Kings won the match by 5 wickets.
