The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India’s squad for the homes series against New Zealand late in the evening on Friday 13th January. New Zealand is set to come to India for a 3-match ODI and a 3-match T20I series in mid-January.
Some notable inclusions are K S Bharat in the ODI squad as a replacement for K L Rahul. Shahbaz Ahmed and Shardul Thakur have also been called up to the ODI squad. Axar Patel and K L Rahul were not available for selection due to family commitments in the month of January. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are still recovering from their injuries.
In the T20I squad, Prithvi Shaw who has been in red-hot form in the domestic season has been called up to join the team for the upcoming series. Shivam Mavi and Mukesh Kumar also continue to be with the team. The whole list of both squads is as below.
