70th All India Railway Kabaddi Championship Semi-Final results

Semi-Final 1 – Central Railways Vs. North Eastern Railways

Central Railway did not have shortage of talented and well experienced players. The likes of Pankaj Mohite from Puneri PaltanShrikant Jadhav from Bengal Warriors Ajinkya Pawar from Tamil Thalaiavas helped the team knock NER, Gorakhpur out of the 70th AIR Kabaddi Championship.

The quality of CR’s players was just too much for the NER players as Pankaj Mohit, Ajinkya Pawar and Shrikant Jadhav kept on pulling the triggers and stole points after points.

Once the second half began, Central Railways kept their dominance intact and hurt their NER even more. Central Railways are now the first team to enter the 70th All India Railway Kabaddi Championship Final.

The ending score line was 39-38.

Semi-Final 2 – Northern Railway Vs.  South Eastern Railways

The Second Semi-final of the day saw Northern Railway lock horns with South Eastern Railways. NR came into the match having won their previous 3 matches in the group stages and they were facing the boys from the South East (Kolkata) who won twice and lost once in the Group stage.

NR held on to win the game comfortably. They were headed by none other than Bhupinder Singh and he has done his job extremely well till now. Another factor that helped for the Northern Railways is that Meetu Sharma came into the team after having a very intense season with Haryana Steelers.

They scored 47 points in this match and all the credits must go to players like Amit, Preetam Chillar, Anil, Mohit, Kuldeep and Nitin Rawal. Final score line at the end of full time was 47-29.
