India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign got off to a roaring start with a victory over Australia in Nagpur on Day 3. The hosts prevailed by an innings and 132 runs. A century from the team’s skipper Rohit Sharma and five-wicket hauls from the spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were among the highlights for the hosts.
India will welcome Australia in the second game in Delhi starting on Friday in an effort to increase their lead in the current Test series. The another special factor for the match is that this will be Cheteshwar Pujara‘s 100th Test match and he is the 13th Indian Cricketer to reach the milestone.

A milestone for any cricketer is participating in 100 Test matches for their nation. Only 74 cricketers have managed to play in 100 Test matches in the 144 years of the format. This demonstrates just how unique the milestone is. However, Sachin Tendulkar is the only player to have played 200 of them; he has done so.
