Vismaya who specializes in 400m and 4 * 400m relay events, has made the country proud in various sporting events. V K Vismaya stunned her fancied opponents, M R Poovamma and Hima Das, to win the gold medal in the women’s 400m race at the Indian Grand Prix-3 event in the women’s team category.

In 2019 she won the Silver medal in the Women’s 4*400m relay team and also participated in the Mixed relay event.

The quartet of VK Vismaya, Muhammed Anas, Noah Nirmal Tom, and M. R. Poovamma competed in the 4 × 400 meters mixed team relay at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, where they clocked 3:16.14 in the heats to qualify for the final and secure a place at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
