Indian Ace batter Virat Kohli remains on the headlines even when he is not playing competitive cricket. The 34-year-old after suffering a tough exit from IPL 2023 has now become the 3rd most followed Athlete on Instagram in the world. Kohli has also become the first Asian to achieve this unique milestone.

On Thursday morning, Virat Kohli’s official Instagram page showed that he now has 250 Million followers. The list of most followed Athletes on Instagram is spearheaded by 5-time Ballon D’or winner Cristiano Ronaldo with 585 Million followers and 2022 FIFA World cup winner Lionel Messi is #2 with 464 Million followers.

Virat Kohli is just behind the 2 footballing greats in this incredible list. It goes without saying that he is the only Indian to have such a massive following on Instagram. Even the iconic Basketball legend Lebron James doesn’t have this many followers as the Delhi-born batter.

The former Indian Captain recently bowed out of Indian Premier League 2023 from the league stages after Royal Challengers Bangalore lost their final league match against Gujarat Titans. Virat Kohli had smacked his 7th IPL century in that match but Shubman Gill’s 104 off 52 balls saw GT chase down 198 runs and win by 5 wickets.
